In the picture, we have the Cascades Cradle structure. the base of the structure, in the picture, we’ll say is a triangle. Given the following information determine the area of the base triangle. The base length of the triangle is 6 ft. The child is 33 ins. and the left side height is 33+x, and the angle measure is estimated at 84.3 degrees.

The Common Core State Standard this problem aligns with CCSS.Math.Content.7.G.B6 the student will need to know the formula for the area of a triangle to find the area along with how to find the length of a side of a triangle given another side and angle.

    Know the formulas for the volumes of cones, cylinders, and spheres and use them to solve real-world and mathematical problems.
