If the passcode to their phone is four digits long and you know that the first number is 7, and that 0 and 2 are never used; it is possible that numbers may be repeated. How many combinations are possible in order to unlock their phone?

The engagement of the students would be attained through this math problem and it relates to a real-world situation they could experience. Another math problem for this situation could be if numbers could not be repeated, how would the number of combinations vary.
